Robbie arrived this morning in the most foul weather you can imagine. Calmy unloaded, walked into barn and chomped haynet whilst his minions removed his travel gear. I put him straight out in a field next to the others, they all flew up to the fence and looked very disappointed that he put his head down and ate and didnt join in the "running up and down the fence like lunatics "game that they have been practising :)
Brought him in last tonight so I wouldnt have to bring him past the others. I was a bit worried as he was pacing by the gate as I went back for him but he politely stepped back when I asked him and stood nicely as I put his head collar on.
Went straight in and had a roll in his new bed (it did look inviting) cue mane and very thick tail full of shavings. Ate all his tea, then I got him out and he stood nicely while I groomed him and put his rug on. He submitted happily to lots of brushing and kisses and photos and is now happily eating his hay.
Fingers crossed it stays this smooth.

Awww! He's lovely! And so shiny after grooming - you must have spent hours on him! I'm glad he's settled in so well ... How big is he, and where did you find him? (sorry if you've already answered these - if you did post about him, I missed them).

hi
I did (of course!) post about him :D . I found him on horsequest, about an hours drive from me.
He is 14.2, 14yrs old. He has been owned by 3 sisters (11/14/16) who are upgrading to a go faster model after he has given them the confidence to do so. They delivered him today because they wanted to see his new home, lots of tears but they thought he would be happy here.
Forgot to say he is also a star-one of the horses in the photostory in this month and next months pony magazine (which of course we have bought!)

What a lovely little chap! Love his nice square head. He'd better get some rosettes won so he can keep up with the new neighbours! ;)

Thanks all
NN-how did I know he would be your cup of tea :)
Re Stables- we did them up this summer. Found the cheapest way to buy coloured gloss in bulk, was to use the dulux colour mixing machine. I chose a shade of blue and the young lad asked if I would like a sample pot size first, he was quite suprised that the carefully chosen and mixed paint was for stable doors :D

Sorry Miggy, I am a bit busy to write whilst I am driving down to West Sussex to pick up my new stunning coloured. Directions are a bit rubbish but they told me to look for Blue Stable doors....:D ;)

Whatanejit-He is really for my son, who sadly doesnt finish school till 6pm (:D ) so I will be riding him during the week, hacking and schooling. Son will be doing pony club and local fun riding club stuff. I do have my eye on new local indoor league for winter though-dressage/showing/jumping-small jumping!
