this is me and thug in the autumn of 05, i forgot that my uncle had taken this picture, he sent it to me last week.

anyway i've had a rotten year with poor old thug, starting last december-he's not been 100% happy in himself for the whole year.

during winter he got bruised soles x 4, holes in his front feet x 2, lost shoes x a million (that's what it felt like),

summer came and his teeth were hurting (one wolf tooth), making him go really bent to that side, got that sorted. he still felt a bit unlevel and i don't know if its the one sidedness or his hocks!

but it's been just low level pain all the time. got quite depressed about the poor chap, he always seems miserable

so it was a real boost to get this pic, when he was healthy and happy and we were having adventures

hopefully his run of bad luck will come to an end and he'll cheer up again. this pic gives me a reminder of what to hope for, if you know what i mean.

moi? a grump?

well i'm starting to exhibit the signs i must admit.

they read out a bunch of things you do when you reach grumpy old woman status on the radio, and yes, i was thinking "oops i did that yesterday etc..."

i love it :D

Haha, i just love the phrase 'grumpy old woman', and tend to use it on alot of people. But honestly, the thought of you sat on the sofa with a cup of tea and a biscuit attracted that phrase :D.

It is a lovely photo TB.:D And, as you said to W'jit, just keep the faith, and I'm sure he will come right, and you'll be able to have moments like that again. Big boy isn't he, unless you're about 4ft 10.

I love that picture Biscuit:) You both look fabulous:D This thread made me laugh because for a while now I have laughed when I have seen pictures of people and then realised that their user name conjured up an image in my head of what they looked like and then when you see the real person...they are nothing like you imagined: :p
I have wanted to start a thread about that in the cafe area but figured that some one, somewhere would be offended......then I'd get banned  :D

I must admit I'd pegged you as older than you clearly are. It's that tea and biscuits image your name conjures up.:o

I imagined Teabiscuit as a 4 ft 2 inch jockey with large racing goggles sporting bright orange racing silks with a very large T on the front:p

That's a long old journey you're having with thug, T'bic! I bet it's hard sometimes, keeping optimistic.
But you're right, that's a fab and happy photo. Put it somewhere you'll see it often (like on the 'puter:D )!

I love your name, it makes me think of dunking Rich Tea in a cuppa, which is a necessary part of living.
You need a big cup, or first take a bite, as I'm sure I don't need to tell you. McVities are good, but they do tend to melt and fall off into the dregs.

BTW, Do you dunk Oreos in the US, JG?

julia gulia
4th Dec 2006, 11:40 PM
Actually...I don't like oreos L.D. too sweet for me....I love to dunk my digestives though:p

Ginger biscuits are the best for dunking. Makes my mouth water just thinking of them. :o :D

Fortunately I have the excuse of not having a digital camera. So I'll leave it to your imagination. :p

Rich Tea - gosh that brings back memories - they were my favourites biccies when I lived in London (91-93) soooo long ago... we don't get them here in NZ

Tea Biscuit - I hope he comes right soon...wish they could talk hey! Be alot easier. :)

Gingernuts - we get them here - yummy for dunking because they are rock hard so don't fall off - oh unless you are my OH who leaves them in for so long they do! Then he tries to dunk them in my coffee :p
