So, following on from my previous thread, i keep forgetting that I am not on the pill anymore and my PMT has returned with avengence. I think that is what has been wrong the last 3 or 4 days. I rode out this morning in the sunshine (I did have to sing my entire repertoire of xmas carols to make sure i kept breathing!) but i had a nice ride with no stops or naps. Just a few spooks at jumping squirrels and the like.

I must be back on form as I then emptied my entire huge stable of old straw and completely replaced, i even did real old fashioned proper banks for a change and practised loading my mare as someone was about to go to a show, so I hijacked their trailer. All in just over 3 hours :)

I am now happy, refreshed and STARVING! So am off to have lunch.

Apologies for being down and at a low ebb, i am hoping it was just a temporary set back and I don't feel like that again (well at least if I have a similar post in 4 weeks time you can all just tell me to stop being a hormonal so and so!!!)

Oh that's such good news! Isn't it funny how we seem to have a kind of selective amnesia once a month. I'm tired, crabby and nothing is going right for a day or so, then I go to the bathroom and it's like - oh, so that's what it was all about! And everything is OK again

I know what you mean about the pill. I am not allowed any form of it at all now as my body wont accept any form of synthetic hormones, and the fact I had a stroke aged 21.
so if you ever feel the need for a hormonal rant feel free to PM me, can promise to be very understanding :D

So that's what they mean when they talk about 'moody mares' and being 'mareish' ;)

Glad to hear that you're not really fed up with it all and it was just an hormonal blip :D

My friend takes EPO and swears by it. I just get homicidal, shout and make hand signals at any drivers who are going too slowly or are dithering as to which lane to go in! Maybe I should start taking EPO ....
