Had my usual ' Desperate Housewives' lesson this morning , I was the only one to show up:rolleyes: Enough said ...
Really worked hard to stop gripping with my knees so my low leg could quietly stay in contact, together with consistent contact with my hands, can be a bit all or nothing with me ;) Was cantering a circle and just let the contact go and Celebrity tripped/fell , I tipped onto his right shoulder, and bless him, he regained his balance lifted his right shoulder and popped my back in the saddle.:)
Needless to say, RI told me off for DROPPING my horse and not picking him up ;)
Does your horse look out for you too ?

Aww! Good boy Celebrity - there you go - no need to be nervous with a horse as kind as that!

Aw, what a good horsie! Stormy loooks after me often, I am sh** at cantering on my left rein, so she carries me (literally) and never misses a beat bless her.

Yes I really feel lucky to have him on my side :) And after the stumble he really cantered carefully , cos his Mum cant be relied on to give him balance :o

Yes, my boy was ever so gentle with me when I was coming back after 2 months off with a broken arm (which, by the way, he caused!). But he must have sensed from my body language that all was not well, and he was so gentle and cooperative (he would start to kick and buck as usual, and then stop himself and just go forward). He was lovely.:)
Then after 3 sessions, he obviously thought that enough was enough, the gloves came off, and it was YAHOO!! time again - "Come on, let's go, keep up, get on with it!"
Should be grateful for small mercies, I suppose, or maybe he can read me better than I can read myself?

I was jumping on my first horse. I went too far up her neck. She threw in two leaps and scooped me back into the saddle as if by magic. :)

Does my horse keep me safe?
You must be joking......make the wrong move with my mare and you are history!!! She certainly doesn't suffer fools gladly!:)
But I love her to bits and funnily enough, she seems to love me too!! I think we are definitely two peas in a pod!:D

aw bless them all,
i had a fantastic mare once, i was young and insisted on jumping her even though i fell off 50% of teh time
i can't count how many times i fell off in front of her and she had to jump over me to avoid hurting me
i used to think all horses were like that, now i know better :D :D
you're blessed if you have a horse who looks out for you.
