Hi all,
I'm due to have my thrid ever lesson today. I'm very excited, I have a new riding hat to wear too.
My lessons dont sound like the ones everyone has here, we do the lessons out on hack (on LR).
Hope I do well I couldnt go last week and I've had to change my lesson days. Hope the wind dies down though.

Have a great day everyone.

Hi hope you have a great lesson. My next one is thursday (weather permitting) I would love to have a lesson out on hack, i just go round and round a school! but then i again i do need to go round and round a school!!:D . My biggest problem is keeping the horse going and not losing the pace but that will come i suppose.

enjoy today and let us know how it went!!

I did try that one, cr@ppy, going to have to cancel my lesson.....Not impressed. But then I guess thats the perils of mixing a baby with horse-riding.
I'm gutted, my back up sitter isnt available either.

I think its time I looked into nursery once a week.....there's an idea.

Oh what a shame you are going to have to cancel your lesson.

I may hve the same problem over christmas (lack of babysitters), although mine are much older than your youngeat at 4 and 8, so maybe i can take them if they can sit still for hlaf an hour.

I had one this morning. I was really pleased with how my lad went most of the time - we're just starting to get him into a much more "up" & collected shape - but it was really windy so he was pretty sharp  . I was very pleased with myself as twice he tried to leg it & I stopped him before he got away - may not sound much but 700kg of spooky ID that has a tendancy to run first & (maybe) ask questions later can take some managing, especially when he has to be tactfully ridden

I've started having lessons in the week when my daughter is at school she is older at 13 but she can't stand horses so rather than drag an unwilling teenager I go when she is at school and I have a little more time - I go in the mornings so I have plenty of time to get home before she finishes school.
