A mare I am interested in has Dallas lines, she is WBXTB.
Who is/was he? I think something to do with sj.

very famous chap, belonged to the rawdings i believe. not really my area so i don't know an enormous amount about him but i know the name and reputation.

The lady was talking about him (its her grandsire) and I just didnt know.
Was he the WB or TB side?

i *think* he was/is a selle francaise accepted into the WB studbooks, but don't quote me on that. not a TB though.

Oh, I did look on all breed pedigree but didnt find anything?
I didnt realise that could happen.

yes, other breeds can be accepted into studbooks for warmbloods since they're not closed studbooks. it's normally TB, arab or anglo arab, so a horse who is officially pure WB can be a good dollop of TB.
if you look for dallas brightspark on allbreeds, he is by dallas so click on his sire and it should be the right one.
aha - found him! brightspark had no sire recorded, but cameo's reflection did.

no clue about the specifics of gradings etc, but yes, very creditable breeding. he was a very good horse in his day.
