Have looked on the Monty Roberts and Kelly Marks website, to see if Sarah Dent had an email address, which she does. But shes unable to do work with horses until after March.
Does anybody know of any other RA's in the Yorkshire, North East Area?

Unfortunately Sarah is currently the northernmost RA by some distance, the nearest beyond her would be in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire :(

How about Sarah Kreuutzer at Learning to Listen in North Yorkshire. She trained directly with Monty Roberts herself. I dont know what you need help with but she generally works by horses going to her I think but might be worth an ask?

She did used to be an RA too, but as you say it doesn't look like she does callouts which is why I didn't suggest trying her :)

Just thought of someone else. There is a lady called Dawn Savage who has recently been in the 'Darlington and Stockton Times' and the 'Northern Echo' having had some very good results through IH techniques.
I know she was only charging minimal fees while she builds up her business (she also works). I have searched the newspapers website but cant find the number. Maybe if you email then they will get you the info, I know her number had been in the paper. I'm sure she is in the Darlington area.

Click on 'user CP' in the top left hand corner, the options are on the left hand side of that page :)
Found a couple of bits of information which might be of interest -

If she's an IH student aiming to qualify then she'll be after as many case studies as she can, but obviously proceed with caution as with anyone you don't know or haven't heard of before :)

Thats the piece from the paper I was looking for - I dont wake up before 9am thats my excuse:rolleyes:
I think Dawn did her training with Sarah at Learning to Listen not with Kelly Marks and both these trained directly with Monty Roberts so they should all work on the same principles. Obviously though she wont be making up hours to be an RA but she may still be very good and seems to have had some good press. For petrol money it may be worth a try.

Kirstie - I have just been in touch with Sarah Dent via email and she seems very nice. She said she was hoping to come and see me in a month or so but not to tell her surgeon!! However she only based a couple of miles down the road from me. :)

I know he often does pieces in one of th horse magazines. Either 'your horse' or 'horse' i think. Dont know more than that but from what i have read he has a very calm manner with the horses and gets some good results.

According to the website he's into 'Australian Natural Horsemanship' which is basically a Parelli spin off. If so the style can be somewhat different to what you'd get from a Monty R influenced trainer, though without seeing him in action it's impossible to say really.

In 'your horse' (14 Dec- 10 jan issue) there is a guide to natural horsemanship and its different forms IH, parelli, Equine Ethology. It also looks at the independents including Charles Wilson, Richard Maxwell, Charlotte Dennis, and TTouch.
Charles Wilsons work is based on Parelli and Australian Natural Horsemanship as Yann has said.
Looking at his website it looks like he perhaps does group lessons/courses etc. Maybe you could ask if you could go and observe a lesson.
