If you go on to the newrider home page www.newrider.com go into the libabry section and there is a page that shows you how to plait manes with pictures and instructions:) there are all different types of plaiting though, how long is Bluey's mane? as it is easier to plait if he has a short mane but if it's long you can do a different type of plait.
heres some more links for manes and tails:)

G'** Neesa! Oh man, I forgot. recently the barn manager decided to cut Bluey's mane and it is in a 'state' I thought she'd better as she's an ex-eventer, though she cannot ride anymore, but still loves horses and knows heaps about it. I don't know if its long enough for plaiting, but his tail I'l be able to. I probaly shouldn't have posted this thread! I checked out the plaiting though sand its good, I'll have a go on his tail! Thanks for the help!

Was the mane cut or was it pulled? (or hogged, depending on Bluey's breed?)
Manes are normally pulled quite short before show plaiting (i.e. the little rosebud plaits along the top of the neck), as long manes often end up with plaits like golf balls! :D So even if it is quite short, you should still be able to do this kind of plaiting.

Next time I see him, I'll take a pic if I can. His mane is all ragged, but apparently it was worse before the coach had fixed it up a bit. The coach is honest and truthful, so it must have been a big state!
