what can i gather from this info re drums grazing and hay (used to be on poor grazing and haylage)
his poo's are slightly firmer but quite a lot darker :)

They wil lbe darker as he is on more grass time... Sounds like a good poo to me...Not that I am an expert on horse poo..:o

To me that says better and more forage :D they are firmer as he is acctually digesting more of the goodness just leaving the real roughage, and darker as fresh forage tends to be darker, I also noticed that horses on alot of haylage often have lighter poo - I guess because the haylage ferments and looses alot of its colour ending up that mousey brown colour.

could it be that the grass time is the same, but there is more grass and probably different grass then

He's not on any haylage any more either is he.
The hay will make it firmer.

Like others have said it will be the change for the grass and the toye of forage hes on, no worry, its usual! :)

was guessing it was normal and ok, was just wondering if there were any poo experts out there, see if it was an ok thing or even a good thing :)
