I've been clearing lots of dropped hay out of a very spidery feed room andmoving stable mats, dustbins of feed and wheelbarrows up to the new yard.
This afternoon we introduced a prospective new loaner to Hanna, our Cleveland Bay mare. They seemed to get along well enough so we'll be going to Richmond on Sunday afternoon to see the place she intends to keep her.
Tomorrow we have the trailer arranged to take the horses to the new yard. Stoney has a couple of sachets of bute to make it easier on her arthriticky legs and the plan is to take Harry first on his own, stable him then go back for Brock and Stoney and have them travel together. Not looking forward to it at all, Harry will box-walk and shout for the others, Brock will probably tank off in the other direction on the first attempt to box him and be all wound up because Harry isn't there and Stoney will go all glassy-eyed with the effort of travelling. Still, we'll probably get through it in one piece....
