could you answer 2 questions for me please

they are silly questions so i apologise for my ignorance

what does it mean when it says a horse has a snaffle mouth

and what does forward going actually mean

Snaffle mouth means that the horse is ridden in a snaffle bit, so only requires a mild bit. Forward going depends on who is writing the advert! Sometimes it can turn out it means the horse has no brakes But it can just mean that they don't require a lot of leg to get going, if you understand what I mean- they won't be a plod.

No such thing as a silly question! I think your question has already been answered.

Beware though - if you're looking at horse ads, they tend to be kind of conservative. Snaffle-mouthed is a good thing, and almost all ads will say this if they can. Forward going can mean that they are prone to getting strong (whereas what it should really mean is as the previous poster said - light off the leg and willing, but not necessarily difficult to stop!)
