how to explain.....

I want to arrange to go and have a lesson, but how do I explain that I don't want to jump? I just want to do flatwork. Has anyone tried to explain this before? RS is probably show jumping orientated like the rest so they'll probably think I'm very odd for not wanting to jump lol.
