Adult beginner lessons - Brentwood area

Hello everyone,

I am a 27 yr old beginner, looking for lessons in or around the Brentwood area.

Does anyone have any good recommendations to get me started?

Thanks

Can't help you for any around Essex, but here's a rough guide
Don't immediately be put off by small establishments - sometimes they can be as good as larger ones.
Ask if you can have a look round and check if the horses look reasonably happy and in good condition, and the stables look clean.
Observe a lesson, and see what the instructor is like.
For a list of ones in your area, have a look on here

Hope I have helped

I am in Chelmsford. I went to Runningwell EC.

My RI who comes to me to teach is still a freelance instructor there also.

They are the best in Essex IMO.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the info. I will keep them it in mind.

I have just found a school not so far from me, Colmar Farm? Has anyone been there/had any lessons with them?

I think I'll give them a ring to see if they cater for adult beginners.

I have rode at both , but have been at Runningwell for two years and really like it. Great horses, good staff, excellent facilities, late night opening and a nice friendly bunch of clients. Would like tonkeep mybown horse here when i purchase it Enjoyed Colmar but the facilities weren't anywhere near as good and was more geared for children. I grew up riding at Eastminster in Romford who I will also recommend. Hope this helps people.
