XC Schooling Pics

Just got the photos back from my first XC schooling session with Archie, and thought you might like a look...

It's no good - I can't get the photos to show. It works fine on other sites! Anyone got any idea what I'm doing wrong? You can't see them, but the [IMG] tags are there.

I clicked on them and I believe you have them in your photo album on yahoo? If I am right you need to select the properties for that 'photo-album' folder and select either permissions or viewing availability - or there will be something similar meaning the same and click - available to all. I will have a looksy at my yahoo account and see if I can get the exact details!

ok then - had a look - try this

go to
http://photos.yahoo.com/

(after getting in to Yahoo.com and signing in)

Click on 'Share with friends'on the left
then - (you need to know where you stored your photos (see below for more on that one!))

so highlight the little circle next to it (click once) and then click 'select'

on the next screen select 'public' and then select - 'save' it will give you an address to view them. Go in to that link and then click on 'Edit settings' click on Public at the top and scroll down until you see the 'Select Album Display' bar - select only the one where the pictures of you and Archie are - (see below for how to find where your images are stored) - then once you have done that click on Save. Paste the addy you were given orignally on here and then we can all view them - after we click on the folder that you have left it to display.

Here's one I did earlier! (Hope it works or I'll look a right idiot!) You poor thing should get a little piccie of me come up!!

http://photos.yahoo.com/nicola_p_98

----------------------------------------------------

OK then heres the other bit!

to find out where your photos are - you need to save them to your photo album if they aren't already there - pm me if you need help with this. Then from this link:

http://photos.yahoo.com/ (you need to be signed in first)

there is a box on the left - a little way down there are three sub folder style things listed as follows:

Mail Attachments
My Photos
Yahoo! Photo Album

If you click on each of these in turn - the one that brings up mini versions of your pictures is the one you want to give public viewing access to as described above!!

Sorry its so long but hope this helps!!

Nicola

Thanks Nicola, but I don't think it's Yahoo as I posted the photos on another site and they came up visible in the message fine.

I can't cope with this IT stuff - all too complicated!!

Right, I've now made the photos public, so I think that means the links in the first post should work? I wasn't given any new address for the photos when I did this.

Thanks for your help, Nickie, it's all too much for me!

Serves me right for trying to be clever and get them to appear in the message - I'll just attach them instead!

I don't believe it, I can't even attach things now!!

Thanks Nickie - glad you managed to see them at last. The water wasn't half as dramatic as it looks, but hubbie excelled himself with the camera for that one!

Thanks Es - it was my (and Archie's) first ever attempt! Can't wait to go again now.

Mind you, if you look carefully you might see the mud on my jods where I fell off twice!!

Nice pics! I love XC! Archie looks awesome...having a good time as you are! He looks like he has some Draft in him, am I correct? Anyway, nice pics and you both look like you had a great time!

Thanks all; Archie had a wonderful time - he got so excited he didn't know what to do with himself!

Well spotted, cabanha, he doesn't have any heavy horse in him, but does have a lot of Irish Draft with a drop of thoroughbred. In other words, solid, but he can't half move when he wants!

Floppy, I have a bit of an admission to make - Archie always looks that shiny even without grooming. And as his field is dry now he is not even getting muddy! I really should have said that I spend hours polishing him each day, shouldn't I?
