Saddle Slipping Solution

Hey all!

Thought I'd just share a helpful tip I learned a year or two back. If your having problems with your saddle slipping, whether it be back and forth or side to side, you can stick a wet shamy (like the ones you dry your cars with) under your horses saddle pad and it won't slip. I learned this from a Thoroughbred Race horse trainer/owner/excerise rider who uses them all the time. You just get the shamy wet, ring it out, and put it on their backs. Once your done riding be sure to rinse it out good so it doesn't irritate their back the next time you use it.

well I hope the saddle fit ok. Always check that, might need restuffing or a new saddle all together.

Having a saddle that fits is always number one but when you have a horse with a bad wither it's near impossible to find a saddle that son't slip. My pinto was so much happier when his saddle stayed in place as was I.
