Hello!! Good choice of horse! I Love the Arabian, have ever since I was a little girl, I knew one day i would own one, or two lol!!

They are very loyal horses, very loving and friendly, high spirited and don't take fools glady! They are smart and like to suss you out! If you have the right temperament for them, they will love you! They have very good memories, so I'm afraid, remember the bad things happen to them well. Abuse their trust and they will never forget!
They have the most breathtaking movement, big dark eyes, beautiful faces and lovely long flowing manes and tails. Canter is usually so lovely and smooth, trot too, floating across the ground. They have massive stamina and love long distance, but can happily do anything else if you ask nicely! I'm just teaching mine to jump and she has a lovely pop on her!
If you want a loving loyal friend, that IMHO, are the most beautiful horses ever, then go for it!

Here are some pictures of the Arabs I've had the pleasure of working with in my life!

It depends on its personality. I'm actually in the middle of looking in on buying a three year old Arabian. However, she's been given a great start, and has a sweet, laid-back, loving personality. We're taking her on for a week and a half and we'll see how she is with us. Arabians are spirited, and intelligent, and do have amazing gaits. Their trots cover ground and once you know how to ride it, it's steady and flowing. Since I haven't cantered yet, I can't exactly tell you what that's like. The breed itself is known for endurance, and they can be trained to whatever discipline you like, depending on their training. I'm going into western trail, western pleasure, halter, but am also a more experienced english pleasure, hunter/jumper, cross country rider, so my arabian's going to be VERY well rounded. It all depends on if you feel the horse is right for YOU.

a very verstitile intelligent breed in my opinion
there are more than one type of arab though and i don't know much about each. i have a crabbet arab and they are meant to be slightly stockier for an arab.
she is 30 now and has done a bit of western, endurance and i've just started schooling her.

and i have a 11 (12 in july) year old arab gelding (dont know what sort)

both are very sensitive but in a nice way.
