27 - keeping all the last little bits of saddle soap in so that they can be recycled & melted into one big bar again at a later date.
28 - Pouring the melted saddle soap into, allowing it to cool & you have new saddle soap for future use.
29 - pooper scooper - may need to cut it for ease of scooping (for scooping dog poo from your lawn prior to mowing?)
30 - carrier bag dispenser - cut a smallish hole in the bottom of it, put string through the sides to hang it up fill with bags & put lid on it, pull bags through hole when required (stops unwated "scary" bags blowing in the yard too)
31 - Water feeder for birds - just put a few large stones in the bottom to prevent any youngsters from drowning if they fall in, could double up as a bird bath too (make sure its out of reach from cats though).

I am starting to scrape the barrel now!

Just thought of another 2:-

Mini dustbin - Keeps loose tissues, bags, bandage wrappers etc tidy & with the lid on prevents them blowing around the yard. When full the whole tub can be burnt (safely).

Or use as recylcing bins for squashed cans, plastic wrappers etc, easy stackable in cars for taking to your closes recycling point.

To store large ammounts of hoof oil in.

Use for storing your spare tack, grooming kit or plaiting kit.

Makes a useful filler bucket for your water bucket.

I am an animal rescue person. I keep one in my car with dog food to feed the strays people dump out in our area. (The ones you can't catch.) I also keep an empty one in the car to put the box turtles in that I rescue from the hiways to keep them from getting squashed by the cars. And I turn one upside down to use as a step to get on my horse.

55) OK just last week I used mine to keep cotton wool drenched in vaseline in. I use the vaseliney cotton wool for putting in my horses shoes where the holes are for studs....because I am too budget to buy proper stud keepers lol so i just stuff them with the cotton wool lol.

56) I also put my studs in them when I finished with them

57) I have also recently turned one into a feed scoop for my horse and pony pellets.......its a litre exactly and my horse gets 2 litre ( i know it should be done by weight (grams) but it works out lol

58) depending on the size and amount you are soaking, but you can use them to soak your sugarbeet over night in

Arent we doing well??!!

59) in our big ones we use them when we are painting our fences so everyone can help!

60) used to stand on to hang hay nets in stalls. (I am really short)

61) we put it the hose nozzle in it so we don't waste water. (we're in the middle of a nasty drought)

62) we use one to collect all the hoof pickings when you exit the ring. (just got new rubber footing and we would like to keep it in the ring)

63) to carry feed for the overnight shows.

64) as far as the smaller ones go, I use them for a lot of things that have already been mentioned but only three that have not. The first is to mix grain and, say, bute together in a separate container then what we feed the rest of the horses with.

65) to make a place for the odd birds that are not old enoogh to fly but just old enough to get under the horses feet. (Made a few friends that way. Dryphus still visits me while I'm cleaning stalls.)

66) and lastly to catch mice. I'm supposed to kill them with a shovel when i see them, but i havn't the heart. So, i catch them and throw them outside. I doubt it helps the rodent problem, but...
