Dennis does eventing! :)

Dennis went to his first big show, aston le walls british eventing, to do an intro............Well what a little star!!!

did a smart lil dressage test for a 35.5 (64.5%) with two 8s (pip told me havent seen sheet yet)

warmed up lovely for showjumping just first half of course didnt really listen to pip and had 4 down but was fab last half!

XC was quite testing in my eyes ..... lots of doubles, proper corner (which was small width wise) and he did a lovely clear!! dead dead chuffed with him!

He didnt get stressed or bat an eyelid at anything all day. I think pip was pretty pleased with him

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cn2YMgpeLkk vid!

piccie!!! what a grown up lil stink!!!

(please no rider critque this is my boss riding not me)

I was at Aston-le-Walls!!

I was grooming for my instructor and helped out Jeanette Brakewell's groom a bit too!

The XC was very stiff, my instructor said that you probably wouldn't find a more difficult PN and that the Intro was not easy.

What times did you have? You might have seen us - a big Oakley Supreme with a giant "g" on th side?? I'm sure I recognise Dennis!

We had a 7th in the PN even though the horse pulled his shoe off after the first XC jump!

Yeah that's the lorry!!

My instructor took the alternative in the PN at the corner which was huge and very spooky, I'm not sure what she did in the Intro but did pick up a few time faults so maybe she went round.
The SJ wasn't too tricky if yo could make the turns - alot of people had a sticky moment before No. 3!

You look great together - I wished I could do something like that (suffering from attack of the nerves).

yes i think a few were just taking it steady round the track with the hard going.... pip didnt push dennis just kept in a nice steady rythem.

yes a few did have sticky to fence 3 pip brought dennis to a trot round the corner seemed ok....... and what bout the height of fence one in the sj for intro?? i thoughts was not that inviting for the first fence.

think your instructor knows pip and ross we have a north astor group horse at the yard too and ross is sponcered by them also

dont ill be suffering big time from the nevres when its my turn!! eekkk. Love the pic tho

Yeah it wasn't really following the proper rules - they say the first few jumps should be smaller than 90cm to be inviting (big and white does not spring to mind!).

I expect she does know them then! As far as I know she's got 3 - North Astor Boise, Beau and Rossco (who belongs to his wife and is crippled with suspensory ligament damage! )
Unfortunately her own Radical Time (the one that lost a shoe) is lame now as well - we keep using him for my C+ Rallies and he's getting a bit annoyed at being trotted up! Hopefully he will be sound soon as she wants to qualify him for the PAVO Champs - Beau qualified 2 weeks ago
The sponsor seemed really nice, and me and my friend both got free hats!

They were supposed to be at Brockenhurst but it has been cancelled with this bl**dy weather
They are going to Firle Place in a week and have invited me along!!! It's an over-nighter so I'm very excited!

Scooby and Stinkers (Dennis) are my nephews I like just down the road from Charlotte, we met via NR, and now I adore her boys and they've both helped restore my confidence.
Except Chars off to Hartpury...so I'm not gonna have one of my nephews anymore
I would love to go to Hartpury, but I'm currently in the middle of Alevels (just got 3 A's at AS so theres no way mum and dad will let me stop right now!)

Woops! ETA - Charlottes has already explained this!
