Angelfbens post just reminded me *mushy post*

Angelben just posted a thread on her first ever "hello mum" whinny. I meant to post on here a story from a few weeks ago, but I forgot. So you can have it now instead

I was lucky enough to be able to take the horse that I ride to a show. We were staying two nights with the horses inside leccy fencing pens. On the second night the horse that I was competing was laying down (was about 11.30pm) So I crawled under the leccy and sat with him for about half an hour Felt like he was mine! I was so proud of him as we'd had a fab day competing. So we had our night time snuggles and wuffles.
The next morning I crawled out of my tent (I was near there pen) and got a whinny well a soft whicker to be precise.
I went all warm and gooey and mushy!

That day we went on to win our class So I'm sure it was my goodnight story that helped!

Anyone else got a gooey, mushy story?!

aw, I am still waiting for that, he does come to my whistle but does not call out to me......yet, maybe he is just 'too cool' and does not want the other horses to see him as a 'Mummys Boy'

Admittedly I only ride him a few times a week (well daily during school holiday) but it's taken me almost 3 years to get this And even then I think it's because beign away together he was compltley dependent on me. He didn't have his field buddies to rely on.

They're all big softies underneath!

That's a lovely story
I've had my 2 mares for 2 weeks now and tonight when I turned up with their tea they were both waiting for me We've previously had to go into the field .... as far away as they could possibly be!!
My hubby and I led the horses toward the boot of our car to get their buckets out and they both gave a soft whicker
It was amazing, heartwarming and beautiful at the same time

What a lovely thread

It made me feel like a parent or something! You know how you always get those parents who run around tellign everyone that their son/daughter has just smiled or said their first word? I used to always roll my eyes and be like "oh for goodness sake, your child and every other child in the world does that!" Yet the moment this lil horse whickered at me I wanted to tell everyone!...then I forgot about it and nearly didnt tell NR

I already posted mine Alps is the most unaffectionate horse so when he does show the slightest sign of affection it's monumental!
