Couldn't agree more. TBH I 'm not bashing the peeps who like this sort of thing but to me it just reminds me of poor circus animals. Its trying to make you think that the horse and girl have some magical 'relationship' but all it is is a whip a carrot and probably a hell of alot of repetitive training for the horse. It definatley doesn't make me think ' oh what a natural bond these two share'

Beautiful .........
I saw this act too, and must confess I was a bit suspicious of the whip, and the "rewards" when he did what she wanted - I felt the flattening of his ears was a fear response, rather than trusting submission, but then I might be wrong, and it was beautiful to see, if you could get past the stick and the slight aggression, which did worry me to be honest.

sorry but have to agree. teaching a horse to rear on command to me doesn't show a bond, just a heck of alot of training

the whip is used as an extension of the arm supposedly, i do agree with what youve said about the "routine" and that its practised, not really a partnership just a horse and handler both trained to represent a horse and owner.
beautiful video though, id love to be in one of the shows...like spirit of the horse.

Tin hat on, flack jacket in place , sand bags and anti aircraft guns to the ready!
Sorry, guys, I didn't like the horse's body language one little bit. The shaking of the head and other little cues say to me a horse with OCD going through the motions and not adoring his handler, just doing what he is told and not 100% happy about it.
Runs down foxhole and digs in for the duration.

Yeah Morse and I 'PLAY' like that as well......
Only NOT INTENTIONALLY
AND HE DOES NOT STOP
I could see why people go 'oh fantastic' cos it is, but it is also a very well practised routine, and stallion or not I don't think he looks that enamoured by it all....sorry

Beautiful, graceful, elegant....right up until the shot of him with ears flat back and a 'tense' face. This is a horse who's been trained to the n'th degree.
Make room in the hole please !

Because we all think although it is beautiful, its all down to practise and practise, reward, whip etc., and its nothing to do with a relationship built up between the two of them.
If however she was doing it without the whip or rewards, I don't think the stallion would be hanging around to 'perform'

Everyone is entitled to their opinion lol I hate the likes of PP but thats just MO- no need to go in a hole
I still say hats off to them. Obviously there is a lot of work that will go on behind the scenes. I am dubious of the close up facial expression of the horse but do not have a problem with the whip (as long as she is not using it directly on the horse) and I also see nothing wrong with a carrot as a thank you to the horse.
Still though, honestly, how many of us with our own horses would be able to do a display like that??

ok the reason i objected.... i used to work with someone that trained circus/performances horses, i have also had a circus horse directley from yasmin smarts circus.....
now if any of you want to see a horse and owner at harmoney i will willingly video me and pluto playing..... i do not need a whip i do not need a carrot. hes ears will remain forward... and yes he does "tricks"
that horse is TRAINED to do that sequence of moves, it is not harmoney it is training. pure and simple. in actual fact that horse will do that performance twice a day at least 3-4 days a week.
