Another newbie....
Hello everyone,
I have following this site for ages now, and thought it was time i joined and said "hello". I have just booked my first riding lesson for Sunday and so excited and nervous. I havent ridden properly for years due to an riding accident when i was a teenager, i go out now and again on my friends horse but cant go more then a trot, my confidence is all gone! So i am hoping with having lessons this will improve. All i want is to share or own my own horse one day, as i had 2 foals again when i was younger and really miss the bond that i had with them, was also thinking of doing a stable management course to give me knowledge of the saddle, anyone else done this?
Anyway i am glad to have said hello, and hopefully make some new friends along the way.
K8te x

Hello and welcome, and please let us know how your lesson goes.
I have recently done my BHS stage one, and am awaiting the results, so will let you know how I did. It has given me more confident round the horses, as you learn how to groom them too .

Good luck for Sunday, I've had three lessons now after riding as a kid and then having a 13 year gap.
It's without a doubt the best thing I have ever done!!
You will love it....and probably be like me and start trawling horse ads a bit prematurely!

Hi K8te and welcome - I have been going to a RS to have riding lesson and stable management and it has been a lot of fun and really helpful, I now have my own pony and so cant actually afford to have the lessons anymore but still keep in touch and get loads of advise from them, I wonder if that is where you are going for your lesson on sunday as you are very close to me - near the airport??
Any way welcome and have a great lesson - enjoy - look forward to hearing how you get on x

Me too!
Good luck with it all. I rode as a teenager, had accident..... daughter aged 11 had 6 lessons before I asked the RI if I could ride too. So after ....years of not riding, I started and was shocked to discover that I hadn't got a seat left. But 2 yeras later. daughter and I are still riding and have just bought a horse to share. So Per haps it is great beginnings - we've had lots of fun!
