Cooper and Stumpy go Trec training.

One of our training team mates had his daughter with him on foot.

RESULT!

A camera woman!

Enjoy!

That looks like tremendous fun.

I have always been a happy hacker and never interested in competing but le trec looks to be right up my street.

A great picture board of your day

That is a super record of a trec training day!
I just wish there were more, and more local to me.
Can recreate some of the obstacles at the yard I now keep Bracken at and they do regular western clinics so am learning about sidepass and gates.
But well done to you both for putting these pics up

Glad you enjoyed it

We have done lots of obstacles with Cooper in our yard so he is quite brave.

His schooling is lacking though so the control of paces and other more technical/schooling required obstacles are not where we will score any points - but who cares as it is fun!!

We need to gen up on our map reading for the orienteering bit.

Wow, it's very technical, and complicated - thanks for posting - a real insight into what is involved. Well done!

I know FBF - I needn't have ducked!

Tis a great achievement though cause at our trec in April she wouldn't go anywhere near the low branches - she just did mini rears instead.

The fact that she went under it at all deserved 10 points

They were mostly fine with the bridge to be honest.

They were more freaked out by the trailer that was beside it.

The noise of their hooves on the bridge was also quite loud so some jumped off the side after a few steps.

Not coops and Stumps though - they were very happy.

In the competitions things are often made harder with the presence of numbers and flags at each obstacle.

In the last BHS one we did every corner of the s bend had a flowery windmill that was spinning - May who had no probs with the S bend at home all of a sudden found it a bit scarey - bummer - nil points!!

I recognise those fields . Glad you had a good day, I couldn't make it and, unfortunately, won't be able to make the Trec itself either as I will be on holiday Might see you at the Horse Show though if you are going.

The photos/video are great. I especially like the one of Stumpy in the S-bend.

Lovely, as always, to hear/see how you are all getting on.

Jill
