Registering a part bred section D help

i own a part bred section D filly, she is crossed with standardbred, i need to get her passport done and i thought it would be nice to do her as a part bred section d and i have found out her sires details, he is registered with the welsh society and i have his details however doesnt have a stallion certificate, he is out of derwen desert express who i have seen pics of and is stunning and the dam is arawa st georges girl, have not found her yet.

how do i go about it? do i need to get belle blood tested or something

Think you need to get her blood tested if there's no stallion/covering certificate. If you found her dam and her owner they may have one? If not then blood test.. Speak to the Welsh Cob & Pony Society who issue the welsh passports and see what they say.

Derwen Desert Express is very nice indeed.. my sec D is an 'express' too lol!

if the welsh stallion is not licenced with the `wpcs' then she won't be able to go on the part bred register.
if he is licenced and the filly was not born this year, then late registration costs are quite high and invole blood testing both parents, have a look on the wpcs website all the info is on there

no he has to be licensed stallion, but i would think even if he was as you have no covering ceretificate they would ask for DNA typing

This link might help http://www.wpcs.uk.com/society/pricelist.html but dont forget if sire was never licensed stallion it may cost lot more and i dont know if they will allow part bred registration even then maybe give them call would be easier over the phone and they will be able to tell you straight away if sire is licensed
