Daft Question of the day

Hi have had a few coloured horses in my day ,but just got a coloured pony
he was bay and white but now gone blue and white..Anyway Question is.
Is a blue and white (coloured horse) named a blue and white horse or is there
a real name given to the colour ie.black and white piebald etc..

Ive always referred to blue and white simply as blue and white....but I think the technical definition of a "skewbald" is white and ANY other colour apart from just black....so it might technically be a skewbald....Im not 100% sure though....perhaps someone else can confirm it for you

Ashlea is spot on.

Technically he's skewbald. Skewbald is any colour other than black, with white.
Most people just say blue and white though!

You got a pic - would love to see a blue and white horse. Technically he is still skewbald as that is white + any colour except black but blue and white is just as good as skewbald covers such a wide range of colours you are being more precise.

Technically he's bay tobiano gone grey. He's a tobiano who carries the grey gene. Eventually the blue patches will grey out all together and you won't see the patches unless he's wet or clipped.

Blue and white is just as good a description as any.
