Birthday cake

Ingrediants
4 cups of sweet feed or oats
1 cup of molasses or honey
1 carrot sliced into sticks
1 carrot diced
1 apple diced.

Put all the ingrediants into a bowl except the carrot sticks.
Mix together and pour mixture into a cake mould.
Empty onto a plate and place carrot sticks on top for candles.

Apple horse cookies

Ingrediants
1 cup margarine
1 cup all purpose flour
1 cup of brown sugar
1 cup of bran
1 cup of diced carrots
1 cup of diced apples
1 teaspoon of baking soda
2 cups of quick cooking rolled oats
2 eggs

cream margarine and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat eggs, combine flour,bran and baking soda. Blend into creamy mixture. Stir in oats, carrots and apples. Drop spoonfuls onto greased baking sheets and bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Remove and allow to cool.

Carrot Apple delight

Ingrediants

3 diced carrots
3 diced apples
1 cup of oatmeal
1 cup of molasses
1 spoon of honey

mix all the ingrediants together and mould into cookie shapes. Place in fridge and serve when needed.

My pony would SO not appreciate the time and effort if I made her any of those. She thinks a soft bit of old carrot is great. I think those treats would be wasted on her, she's not exactly fussy. If I give her something, doesn't matter what it is, it's great! For those with more sophisticated horses who like fine cuisine however, they sound gorge!

try this one-
ingredients:
molasses
carrots cut length ways
any grains or chaff

Method:
dip carrots in the molasses and then sprinkle with any grain your horsie likes.Easy.
