I use vinegar in my horses water, every time I change it I add vinegar. It does seem to cut down on the flys.

Really?

Really? That works some? Just putting some in the water of a horse? How much?

vinegar amount

You need to notice, I say "deterant". It does not eliminate flies, it just seems to cut down on them. I have a 40 gal. water trough. I use about 2-3 cups of vinegar in the water. If the horse gets enough vinegar into the system, it will sweat it out and deter the flies.
