I use Boric acid, check with your pharmacist. I use the same ratio of water and boric acid on the horses as recommended for humans. It sounds like something harsh, but it is not. I have used it myself. It helps when horses have allergies, and runny eyes, or irritated eyes. Put in a squirt bottle, and completely saturate the eye.

Never used it on my horse but have on cats and dogs. Works.
