I'd like a few opinions, which is better, Jumping or Dressage? I pick one one day then the other the next. Yesterday it was Dressage, and it was the same thing thing today. PLEASE give me your opinion!

Why not do both?
I know lots of people who school in both disciplines. Dressage is a wonderful discipline in and of itself, but it can help you with ANY type of riding you do.

Yes, why don't you do both? I know lots of riders who both jump and do dressage. But frankly speaking, I like dressage a lot more...it's like I go "Great! Today we get to work on the flat!" and all my friends just stare at me like they can't believe it. And when we jump, I just groan but they all do a tap dance in the stableyard. It depends on what you like, really, but if you can't decide then perhaps you'd like to wait for a little while more before deciding. Time can make a difference. Or do both!

I am leaning towards Dressage, and I might just do that. I might learn a bit more before I make my final choice. Thanks a million!

If you don't get the basics of dressage correct you can forget any other equine discipline!
Dressage is the foundation of all equine sport.
Do a bit of everything, don't specialise too early,
What about endurance, Le Trec, driving, Icelandic riding, western riding, cross country, horse football, polo, the list is endless. Whats so special about show jumping? Have a go at a lot of stuff before you make up your mind.

Sounds alright
It sounds OK, but i'm not into western, cross-country, polo, or anything like that, and since i'm learning and understanding more about it, i'm probably going to do that. Thanks, though!

Both
Do both, and when u have more experience with them then you can make a final decision. Dressage really helps you communicate with your horse, and that is good for all types of riding. Especially if you have your own horse- then both would really be the best way to go.

Think of it as CROSS TRAINING
I jump.... and I love it... but we "cross train", so to speak in dressage... dressage helps with whatever aspect of riding you intend to do. JUMP!
