Inhand showing

OK Hopefully someone knows something bout showing cause i need help.

I have a TB, at the last show i spent about a week getting him ready for it, after the show i got told that a few people thought he was an inhand horse (then they saw me getting dragged along by him) for the grooming class people thought my horse was very well turned out but i didn't get placed (I think it was because the judge saw my horse rearing and trying to kill my mum before i went in to the ring adn saw the people running out of my way.

I don't want to do high level showing but i was wondering if i could do local inhand show do you think my horse has that look about him??? here is a few photo's

Awww he is gorgeous!! He had that real sweet NZ TB look about him!! what a sweetheart!!

Maybe you need to sort out a few repsect issues on the ground first?!

Someone else can surely offer you much more detailed advice?!
What part of NZ are you in?

Hey, Hehe yeah lol have been working on him for a year now. We think it may be the other horses that get him all upset and strong as today we took him out and parked on the far side of the show grounds he was fine then i lead him near the horses and he freaked out, so we are now working on that. When i get my new horse i shell take them both to shows and just ride the new one.

At home now he has bombproof ground manners don't need a lead rope he just follows behind don't need to tie him up will stand still for hours, lunges like a pro. At the show before going over to the horses he was lunging and long reining lovey i even got on him and he was fine. ... so it may just be the other horses (he was raced)

I'm in the bay of plenty area north island

Sorry the second photo didn't turn out it was to large so i will have to work on that.

I'm putting him to training over winter with two months turnout then brining him back into work and hopefully competeing next season. If the eventing once again doesn't work then it looks like he will be a dressage horse.
