Pessoas- Top setting and John Whitaker version

OK, I have two questions

1) Should you ever use the top setting on the Pessoa? I always got told that your shouldn't but don't really know why.

2) Is the John Whitaker training system the same thing as a Pessoa?

I just got a cheapy alternative Pessoa nd am so excited about it

Hi

I have the JW training system and it is vertualy the same as a pessoa, its better imo because its colour co-ordinated.

I dont think your suposed to use the top setting because its to strenuos for ther average horse.

I think the top setting is really only for 'competition' horses, those in dressage terms are working at at lest elementry level.
