Mine & Finnleys Sunday Afternoon Hack....*Photos too!*
Having seen Jane's & Julies's latest hacking photos, i decided i just had to get out today and go exploring!



So we ended up going out for 2 hours thats our longest hack so far!
We went throught the village, explored loads of bridleways and ended up at a mahouuusive quary! and then came all the way back home again.
Poor OH's legs were nearly falling off, bless him!

Finnley was a star, a proper kick along plod all the way round. We only had one little mishap when he forgot my leg existed and wacked it off a tree, ouch that is going to hurt tomorrow apart from that he was perfecto! No spooks, no sillyness, nothing!

I had the most fantastic time, i Love my ponio so much

Enjoy the photos, sorry theyre are so many ...OH is a happy snapper

Leaving the yard ready for our little adventure!...


Just to prove the tractors dont eat ponies!....

Finn taking us on a very quick trot...

VERY nice house in the village...


Admiring the greenery...


Up the start of the bridle path...


After all that 'hard' work its time for a snack...


Shame i ruin this one lol!...


Had to do the obligitary ear shot!...


In the mean time....another snack...

Can't believe your OH walks with you, that's so cool! My OH would be so grumpy walking that far!

Looks like you had a wonderful day!! Finn looks as cute as ever and glad he's being so sensible for you now

Does your OH always walk with you,or did you just fancy punishing him today lol

Do you know what tree/shrub those leaves are from that Fin is eating in one of the pics??

Love your hi-viz BTW have thought about getting one of those several times as I have mostly main road hacking,do you find it works with drivers??

Love the way Finnley is looking the same direction as you in all of them. He's such a lovely boy and he looks like he is really enjoying that hack! Bless him!

Methinks you need to get your OH a horse - if he's willing to do 2 hours with you on foot I bet you'll be able to talk him into day long pub/picnic rides if he's mounted too!

Lovely pics. It sounds like you had an excellent day. Your OH is fantastic to come with you and take all the photos. Mine has never been to the yard and I hardly have any photos of me riding!

Wonderful pics, Vicki, and what a long way you have come with Finn. Walking across that quarry path as cool as a cucumber, and jumping an obstacle to boot! Little star. You have done a great job with him.

Ooo how did this thread pop bAck up, this was at least a month ago

Seems so long ago have moved yards since these photos were took.

PS - OH has since got a bike to save his poor old legs!
