new trailer, trailer test and naughty ponies with pic

Firstly merry xmas and happy new year to everyone.

I am so happy my wonderful other half bought me my first trailer for xmas, so I decided its time to take my trailer test I had my assessment today and have paid for my test which will be sometime in the last week of January just got to wait for my instructor to confirm which date. I am so desperate to pass but so nervous, so if anyone has already done theirs please share your experience...

Today I decided to try Fly in the trailer, he walked straight up first time, which just amazed me...coming off was another story he just jumped down the ramp and buggered off, I tried again walked him and he made him stand in the trailer but again unloading he tried to bugger off, I tried unloading him a chifney which meant he ran down the ramp but didnt p**s off. So anyone have any ideas what I can do to stop this, he has never ran off before but I dont want him doing it at shows??

Anyway a pic of my new trailer is attached and any thoughts on the trailer test or Flys behaviour would really be appreciated.

Many thanks

What a lovely pressie from your OH.
I would also be very interested in how you slow them down on the exit. My friend has a Renault Master horse van where they load sideways and the ramp is wide and Daisy goes down that a treat but coming out of our trailer she is so hard to control, the ramp is much narrower.
Will be watching this thread to pinch your advice
BTW all the best with your test

Find someone old enough or having passed test to be able to 'supervise' you and do as much towing as possible.
