Just to update.

She was on a ventilator up until last night.

This morning, she is conscious and they have said she is improving.

Maybe it was the right thing. Time will tell.

She's been home for a few days and has been quite well as far as we know!

Suddenly, we seem to not be getting much of an update! OH is seeing the kids tomorrow and I've given him a list of questions!!

So it appears that, indeed, she does seem to be making a very good recovery! I am pleased for them all and do feel a little bad for writing the poor dog off but it is still early days I suppose.
