gymnastic dressage

Could anyone tell me what this involves as I'm supposed to be starting a four week course, is it mainly pole work and some small jumps to improve balance?

many thanks for any help received

New one on me!

Gymnastic jumping - yes - small grids and related distances.
You can use pole work and raised poles to improve dressage work but i've never heard of it being called Gymnastic Dressage.

Lgd,

Thanks for your reply, I've checked with my riding club and it's definately called gymnastic dressage, the club list it as pole work, exercises and some small jumps, I'm really nervous as I don't like jumping after my fall but the jumps are supposed to be really low and more to teach the horse to lift it's legs.
