Withdrawal symptoms

Strange thing just happened...sitting here at my desk reading some very boring papers and I realised that I was missing the smell of horses. I haven't ridden for a couple of weeks (inconvenient people getting married / having christenings at weekends ) and knew that I was missing riding itself...but the smell is not something I ever thought I'd have withdrawal symptoms from. Am I just weird...?

Anyway, back riding this weekend (OH is even coming along for a lesson which is pretty unheard of) so if I wander round the yard breathing in deeply near various horses maybe I'll satisfy my cravings.

I love the summer smell that horses have but as it is winter here there is only one smell I notice at the moment--Mud, mud and more mud.

I've got round the problem cos it seems like everything I own smells of horse . I don't have a single pair of trousers that I haven't been riding in...only problem is my house is starting to smell like the yard! I don't mind at all, but visitors aren't too impressed!

I can highly recommend using the back of one's vehicle as a mobile tack room. Totally eliminates your problem!
