Picture of my new baby!

Well shes not a baby (14 years old) I think shes just beautiful. Not ridden her yet, giving her a bit of time to settle as shes travelled all the way from Texas to Scotland. Shes finding the weather (especially the wind and rain) a bit disconcerting, but starting to fur up nicely. Oh and the poor loves got "killer cows" in the field next to her pasture, so we will take it slow and steady with her.

Yup, we flew her from Texas to Amsterdam then she travelled the rest of the way by Trailer. Quite traumatic for her I think, but she was well looked after, Im sure horses are like people and get jet lagged.

How did you find out about her ?
She is just beautiful.
Did you come to the states and check her out ?
Just wondering as I would have a hard time getting to Texas from
Wisconsin.
You know that work thing interfers with my social life
The last barn I was in they had a lot of horses that they flew over from Poland and Germany, it did take them a week or so to settle in.

Nope, I came accross a site called Walkers West who specialise in finding the right horse for you and they have a UK representative. If you are not happy with the horse they will always give you a full refund. I had been looking for a Tennessee Walking Horse in the UK for a loooooong time, but there were none in this country

check out Walkers West
http://www.walkerswest.com/index.html
I could spend houuuuuurs at that site

The picture is very small, but she looks like a real beauty. I hope you have a wonderful time with her!

Yup they have to be quarantined for one month. Theres a facility in Texas called the Vaquero Horse ranch which is truely excellent. If you go to this link on my site, it shows you the costs involved for shipping including the possible price you may expect to pay for a horse.

Nice thing about it, is they keep you informed every step of the way about how your horse is coping, what they are feeding her, how she is reacting to the farrier, bathing, vet etc. They really were excellent especially since I was an extremely fraut "mother". They even sent me photos by email periodically to keep me calm and god did I need it!!

Thanx TWH. I've put your site into my favourites so I don't have to go searching for it when I win the lottery
