Leather Dr Cook. How durable are they?

I can't remember but does anyone on here have a leather Dr Cook? I am thinking of getting one but would prefer to get it in leather. I am, however, concerned about how durable they are (after seeing that they sell the 'crossover' straps separately!).

Also ... did you go for the 'regular' leather or the padded? What are your thoughts on them?

Also (again) ... did anyone buy the matching reins? What did you think to them?

I've got a standard leather crosspull and love it I've used it about 30 times (maybe more) and there isn't any sign of wear anywhere on it. I try to clean it after every other ride and I do thing the cross straps will wear out eventually (it's just what happens when leather is constantly being pulled through metal rings )

I use my own reins.

Go ahead and get one - there's a 30 day no quibble money back guarantee, so you have nothing to lose
