My friend was telling me he used to ride a strwberry blonde horse, and I asked him if he meant strawberry roan, but he said no...?

I've heard people refer to a light sorrel with reddish/flaxen mane and tail as a strawberry blonde. I'd guess maybe that's what he was riding?

Chestnuts in the process of going grey turn a kind of strawberry colour. Maybe it was one of those?

a pony at my RS is strawberry roan type colour. he was just born that way
