Sorry, haven't really got a clue, except that 'CHAPS' I recognised and immediately knew what it was about... the other one I've never heard of!

I think CHAPS is the main coloured hoss society so his current owners may be right about increasing his value... providing you don't decide to sell himk just as coloured's go out of fashion and Bay's come in

Why not register him initially with his breed society (ID?) and then overstamp with CHAPS or BSPA? That way you are registering him as his breed - fashionable or not, and acknowledging that he is coloured too.

I have done the reverse with my girlie, she is reg appy and overstamped with sport horse register so that we can show in hunter classes.

Don't know either of the societies though, I have heard of them both, but as we have spotts........haven't had to register anything with either one.

Oh, forgot to say I think he is lovely and my girls are rather envious of his new stable and field attire - very fetching

registration

If your horse is coloured would have his passport overstamped by chaps,we have just registered our cob x tb mare with them, was also a bit confused where to register, but felt that there are more showing opportunities with chaps if you have a coloured.[ could not afford both ].
