That's expensive!
Our friendly local merchant does hay at £1 a bale off the field - we were too late so paid £1.50 a month ago to collect from barn. It is fantastic quality too.
I get 36 bales a time as that's all I can fit in my feed room.
Sugar beet I get from a farmer up the road who buys it by the ton and I just buy a few bags out of his load - definately works out cheaper!

That's good value!

Who do you get your hay from Larri? We pay £3 per bale from a local man and I thought that was reasonable!
We can take 50 bales at a time and we will need to replenish about Feb/March and if your chap still has some then I would be interested.

Hi Pixie - It's a farm - Castles at Sydenham near Chinnor / Thame - I don't know how much they'd have left by then! I don't know if we get a special price coz my friend has been using them for coming on 12 years, I will try and get their number for you.
