How to place horses in the trailer

We are going to be using my YO's 4 horse bumper hitch stock trailer for our trip up north on Monday. The original plan was to take my two horses which would have meant Axel (the bigger guy) in front and Cody in back. Plenty of room, they usually end up travelling slant ways (45 degrees).

Now we might be adding a third horse.

First issue is I have no idea if my horses will get along with this horse.
Second issue is how do we arrange them in the trailer?

There's a big divider in the middle of the trailer (which I prefer not to use for various reasons), so if the horses don't appear to get along we can split them up.

This begs the question, do we put two horses in front and one in back, or vice versa?

If the horses appear to be getting along would it be best to try and tie them all at 45 degrees as if it was a slant load?

(and yes I've pretty much covered the gamut on things to worry about for this trip-god forbid I ever have children)
