Which do you find more fun?

The higher or lower jumps? Im not fussed how high you jump, im just wondering which you enjoy the most? And why? Merlin can jump, but not much higher than knee-high. I dont want to get too bored with this because i jumped my last pony higher. But small jumps are fun right? .

Also what sort of showjumping classes do you compete in? Novice? Intermediate?

Hi

I just prefer to stay on over them lol

Seriously when I jumped seriuosly I loved the solid jump and natural jumps best didn't matter what size width etc just loved the feeling of soaring over this jump in total confidence and with ease preferable but when does this ever happen lol !!!

having probs in the jump area but looks to be sorted now..........after the cracked cheekbone and black eye might I add lol

I find anything fun, if i have to jump small (unless its a pony learning to jump) then i make it really fun, like take away stirrups, reins etc. But ith Zola, its definately medium sized jumps with speed

Usually the smaller jumps, I get a bit worried when they start to get too big, so I'd rather jump small. We make it more interesting for the horses by setting up silly courses though, and trying to jump them on angles or to one side.

I like making a new height or spread or something and jumping it for a change and the rush you get going over it! I only just up to 2ft at shows it gets abit too much getting fatty round a whole course!

Jen!!

How will you possibly get board, you haven't jumped Aramis in ages, so I know you'll just be pleased to be popping a jump again ANY jump

As for me I do like jumping the big ones but due to overkill in the early stages I tend to pop a small one and make sure it's nice.

I get a buzz out of jumping high, but find medium kind of sized ones more fun.
Only done one show and that was clear round and pre-novice

Cross-country fences, because you can gallop in, fly, then hoon off yelling "WAHOOOO"....possibly thats just me
90cm-1m show jumping, and 95cm eventing here, no idea what that is in terms of feet or English grading etc.
I prefer any jump which we jump well, but that kind of height is my favourite.

I love jumping all fences. At local level I tend to compete in the 2'9 to 1m classes but for riding club so far I have competed at Novice level which is 2'6 to 2'9 but next year I hope to go intermediate.I am also hoping to start bsja but right now I'm not allowed to jump due to my car accident and have been told it will be 6months to a year before my spine is strong enough to cope so it may not happen until the following year if my horse is still capable.

Big ones!!! Buuut jumping big with no style or grace is a big no no, i would rather jump small with a "perfect" and able position.

Still, flying is fun Spreads are the coolest! But i do love the adrenalin of riding towards a huuuge xc fence, its like madness!

i personally like nice small fences that you so you can really concentrate on "getting it right" but a certain horse finds this absolutely mind-numbingly dull so 80cm-1m most fun for me and the adrenalin rush over the higher jumps-why i love jumping really

Sam jumps better over bigger jumps - he doesnt seem to have much respect for anything under 2' these days. Since jumping 2'9 last time out, I have discovered an absolute buzz going over bigger jumps, and in particular bigger spreads. Everyone on the yard knows when I am jumping as they can hear me shouting "wooohooo" at the top of my lungs after a good jump

I love it when you first jump something different as you dont know quite what to expect. Like a bigger spread or a higher jump.
I love it even more when im on a certain horse that just LOVES jumping as you can feel the excitment they have.

I love jumping! Doesn't matter what size, but I must say I get a better rush for the 3'3+ rails!

Bigger the better with me I'm an adredaline junkie

Buttt....it's amazing fun to dash around a course of little jumps lacking any style and finesse, with just a mahoosive grin on your face!
