Seat Savers

Does anyone use a seat saver? Is it worth the money - Ride-away have one for about £15 and I wondered what difference they would really make.

I've used the Heather Moffet Seat Saver for years and it has been worth every penny! Makes your bum stick like glue [they are suede covered] and the memory foam used is like sinking into a soft pillow. They are quite expensive but really are worth it.

Don't know what the cheaper Robinsons ones are like though.

I have a Mattes 'platinum' seat saver, it's like half a dead sheep - apparently designed for endurance riding. It was expensive but I absolutely love it, even my old saddle - which was a proper a*se cracker - was comfy with it. I borrowed a cheapy one from a friend for a while and it was no good at all. I'd say if your saddle is seriously uncomfy, splash out for a HM, dead sheep or similar.

Again totally recommend the Heather Moffatt. I love mine and I suffer a bad back too. I've only got a little wintec saddle so they are perfect for making them more comfortable. If I had a nice expensive leather saddle i might not bother.

I've just got a HM one of ebay because I have a bad back, I havent been able to try it yet as my chiropractor has told me to stop riding until my back get stronger. Looking forward to using it though.

I made a fluffy seat saver for my treeless. Recycled an old coat with a fluffy lining. Have recently made a waterproof ride on cover out of an old tent fly sheet cost 30p for elastic!!.
