Angel does TREC!
today i took the old (20!) girl to TREC with a friend i was soooo proud of the little lady we messed up control of paces because she did a flying canter change and jumped out of the corridor as she did so - whoops!
the obstacles were great fun
up a bank
mock building site - not fazed!
branches that weren't all that low when you're on a 12.3!
STAND!
an oddly narrow but very small jump
LOVE MY PONY

Brilliant. How did you get on with the orienteering stage? I am assuming not too bad as you obviously made it back to Brighton to post your pics
Did she like the steam train?

Oh fantastic, what a hoot, well done you!
I have to say I thought they moved the low branches down according to the height of your pony's withers. Not on this occasion apparently! Is there a minimum height?

Oh well done!
This is something I'm considering having a go at next year, only trouble is we'll never do the standing still unless she's allowed to munch the grass, she does love her grub!
Your pony is gorgeous by the way. Thanks for sharing.

people (me included!) cheated with the standing still part - stirrups up and reins wedged behind them so they couldnt reach down to eat, ahem ... angel was not impressed!!

This made me lol.My silly spotty pony would prob be a drama queen about most of those things you did,but happily walks right beside high speed trains, steam trains, freight trains etc.One of our only off road rides is a track beside the railway line, trains one side, cows the other,we are both more bothered by the cows
Well done Angel, what an amazing girlie and looking good for a mature lady
She looks well too,are her SI and lammi still easily managed where you are now??
I am a tad confused though,is that dry weather you have there?? Most envious,am on the verge of building an ark here in Devon!!

@devonlass - SI is under control, but due to the rainy weather and sudden grass growing she's been of the grass for a bit as she was getting a little footie ... (not normal for our field at all, but all this rain/sun/rain/sun ...). otherwise she's doing great
it did rain most of the day the ground was pretty much sodden. but because i iz hardcore i rode in a t-shirt

That is absolutely fantastic. Am hoping to start TREC maybe next month, am sure Tobes will be nowhere near as good as yours, but looks great fun.
