but I think I packed them away with my spine!!!

So Saturday I went for a very short hack with my friend to another yard so she could jump the clear round then we would hack back about at 20 mins each way. Got there great jumped off he flipped out OH had him hold and is great with him stopped him rearing. Got back on OH didn't want me to, He was an idiot trying to power trot up the hill on the road. Could stop him as each time him went to rear, Got to the main junction up he went waved to all the people on the bus!!!!! got off walked up the road got back and got home.

Monday fell off while getting on him arrggggg actually not his fault a catalog of errors by me resulting in a bruised coexist. I got on and rode for twenty minutes but the pain stopped me. Could ride tuesday and had a lesson on wednesday. First lesson in over three months where he has not reacted to other horses around him.

So after months of horrid awful times with massive lows I am going to my first comp tomorrow. I have nearly backed out so many time but I know I need to do this.

Please wish me luck all I want to do will get there warm up and get down that centre line if achieve that with out crying or getting off I will class the day as a success

Sending you lots of good luck and calming vibes :) hopefully he's done with putting his parts on this week and will be a lamb for you tomorrow :)

Good luck and yes I agree with the above and hopefully he has got all the nonsense out of his system and will be like a lamb ;)

Well we went. He spooked walking to the warm up and jogged into the warm up so.... I kicked him on and sat energy to jog is energy to work and work I made him do. Perfect in the warm up.

The first test was going lovely very nice the the horse in the arena next to us was canter straight at him and he throw a fit. I rebalanced and picked it back up. Only to go wrong arghh.

Result a two for that move and 5’s for their four moves as he was tense,

Back to the warm up and awesome. Went in for test and I couldn’t stop smiling yes he was flat and I didn’t ride him but he did everything I asked at halt I cried I was so happy.

Not great scores 60.5 in the prelim with a 2 and five 5 so super chuffed and 62.2 in the novice

But more importantly than that the smile and confidence is bigger than any score x

Sorry I missed wishing you luck but impressed with your determination after him being a prat. Well done!

Do you think he’s reacting to your nerves or is this generally what he can get like?
I think I forgot that he can be horrid. But cracking ribs and so much time off I guess it scared me.
I look through old post and there are more omg ginger is horrid the. Wow he is awaking I guess the break freaked me out and he was so amazing at the end of last season that it scares me now or so it did.

I hope we have turned that corner and he can be how he his but that I’m confident to handle it

Amazing, well done you, I would be pleased with those scores! Exactly what it's all about having fun and enjoying your horse what do scores and placings really mean if you don't enjoy it. Glad you a good day :)

Fabulous! Well done you! Can you send your brave pants here, getting jelly knees about jumping on Monday.

Ah the plonker, but so glad you just got on with it and have the confidence boost you needed to keep going, it seems he thrives on being busy :)

He's not an easy horse, is he? Just when you think you have got him going well, something makes him behave like a prat. But he is lovely all the same. Well done, well done for sticking with it and wearing your brave pants all day!
