Anyone been to the docs for tiredness?

Had the ultrasound of my neck nodes on Wed, they man doing it didn't tell me anything but he took alot of pictures using the ultrasound machine. I got a text last night from the doctors to book an appointment to get my results but it said not to be alarmed. So I've booked in for Wed but can't help but worry now a bit as last time I had it done I just got a text saying my results were normal. Maybe they just want to tell me in person? I'm sure it'll be fine anyway.

Easy to say but try not to worry. It could be any number of things they want to discuss with you and I'm certain if they were concerned with what they had seen on the scan they would have asked you to make an urgent appointment. At least they are taking things seriously this time after the fiasco with your tonsils.

Luckily I've got a really busy week at work this week so it will whizz by and I'm sure like you say it's nothing serious, thanks :)

I've had a few tests and my doctor's letter always says don't be alarmed. Mind you it never was anything too alarming, just sky high cholesterol

I have scar tissue on 2 of my lymph nodes from all the tonsillitis so that's a relief it's nothing serious :D

Off for an ECG tomorrow as my heart rate was 42 even though I felt a bit anxious about getting results.

I'm pretty sure nothing will show up tomorrow and if it doesn't the doctor thinks it might just be best to see if it all clears up given some more time.

Well that's good to hear, seriously try not to worry, sorry you are going through the wringer but at least they are doing every test they can to rule out anything sinister.
For what it's worth, my resting heart rate is around 45 bpm, no one even queried it in hospital last week, it was down at 38/40 after my surgery too.
Let's hope they get to the bottom of things for you and you start to feel more like your old self too.
Did the GP say anything about your low heart rate at all?

Just said people with a low heart rate live longer :D

Had my ECG heart is fine as expected came back with a heart rate of 35, so looks like I am a secret athlete ;) lady doing it explained there isn't alot they can do sadly so looks like I'm just going to have to live with it!

Best get yourself a good pension then :)

I imagine your resting HR would be low Ale, you are very fit, there are not many people who cycle as much as you do, plus all the horse stuff you do as well!
Maybe with everything that's been going on in your life recently, you have been overdoing things without realising and have just become worn out, no matter how fit we are our bodies and minds still need a bit of down time now and again.

Haha now that's a good point!

I'm just hopeful that given time it'll all go away and I'll be back to normal.

Glad it has all come back clear for you. To have been under a lot of pressure and our bodies deal with it very differently.

Rest a good diet and exercise is the best we can all do.

I have a really low resting heart beat so much so that it is written on my notes to stop the worrying and sending me for test
