Having seen pictures of the Queen still riding at 90 and with the assistance of daughter in mounting, today I rode for the first time in years . Possibly not the most sane thing to do as the horse had not been touched for six weeks since we closed the RS but was one of our saints!

Didn't do a lot , just rode to school and did a bit of walk and trot and some leg yielding but both horse and I enjoyed it and I shall certainly be repeating the experience. Surprised how un nervous I felt once on and amazed how quickly things came back!

Wow well done you for getting back on after such a long time. You look fab! Horse looks like a darling.

Sound bizzarre but we have both rediscovered a joy in horses! We spend much more horse time as well!

Last time I rode OBC was on the cob you rode at our NR day, very different to this one ( which I think Skib rode?) Pleased I could still ride at all as my mobility is not great, getting on was 'interesting'!!

I think I did once ride that horse. Recognition and pleasure hit when I saw the pic. Tho not on our last visit, I think. Very glad you have been tempted back. And it is the right time of year. I almost gave up myself, with Grace off work and my lovely RI gone. But I never felt ashamed? Seems stupid to ride unless you are enjoying it and it is still interesting.

I'm glad you've found the fun in horses again. Sometimes you are so close that you can't see the wood for the trees.

I LOVE only having two now and being on a livery yard again..... we had really got bogged down with the chores and paddock maintenance. The sun has come out again :)

You look great and glad you enjoyed yourself. Having been away from Newrider for a fair few years I didn't know you had closed your school - hope you are doing well!
