It's inevitable with animals (that they get old) but always horrible news to receive ((((hugs))))
I am gutted, I was hoping for something, anything to give something a try. Its heart breaking looking at him.
Echo Bodshi - you have always done the very best for Chanter. Think of all the wonderful years you've had with him. A rock in your life especially through this high junks of the ginger monkey. Really really hope you can get him comfortable for the rest of the summer. At least you choices are clear now. Hugs ((()))
It's heartbreaking, but hold onto the fact that he doesn't know he only has the summer. At least you now know you can give him as much bute as it takes to keep him happy, no more need to worry about possible long term side effects.

I cant even begin to imagine how you are feeling over all of this, all I can do is tell you that we all know how much he means to you and we all know you will do what is best for him despite how very hard that is for you. Huge hugs OBC x
Totally gutted for you - but as someone else said - at least now you can now give the old timer as much bute as it takes to keep him happy and content without worrying about long term problems. Really, really sad for you and for Chanter.
