I'm going to see if you can guess what sort of Plant this is, and what other names it's known by.. I'm also asking, what is so special about this plant, you'll find the answer and video (will be posted after someone correctly guesses what it's name and capabilities are) very intriguing :biggrin:

No its a Mimosa herb and it gets upset if you touch it, the leaves fold up.

Ah yes, there were a lot of them around in South Africa where I grew up. Great fun to play with, but I don't think it has "feelings" in any way different from other plants: lots of plants are sensitive to touch, for example twining plants like bindweed and honeysuckle rely on touch to tell them when they've found a support, and most plants are sensitive to things like light and moisture. Some even respond to the presence of other plants of the same species.
 
WE used to grow it on the window ledge, it was grown at the kid's school as a bit of a curio.
