My usual riding buddy has been injured so I decided to talk nicely to my OH and asked him to take me to Temple Newsam in Leeds for a bit of an explore today :)

Lorry parking was easy but the bridleways were difficult to locate and not indicated on the park maps. Not to worry - we found them in the end and they were easy to follow once you knew where they were.

Had a good old ride around for a couple of hours, many thanks to my poor hubby who had to walk the whole way.

pics to follow shortly.

Good track to canter on if you don't mind getting mud splattered!!

View from the top of one of the hills - oops - I think I might have left my husband behind a bit here!

And finally the result = one muddy pony!

Excellent! One muddy pony = one fun ride! :D

What's that big house in the background?

ETA - that'd be part of the Temple Newsam estate then...duh sorry!
